Each Christmas holiday season, the Maine Pops Concert Band partners local organizations and congregations to perform holiday benefit concerts for local charities. In the past, the band has annually supported efforts with St. Luke's Cathedral in Portland and the Mountainside Community Church in Falmouth.

However, with the growth of the Maine Pops Concert Band to a membership of over 100 musicians, fitting the band into a small or mid-sized chapel/sancutary has become difficult.

In 2024, the Maine Pops Concert Band moved its 2024 Holiday benefit concert to the Westbrook Performing Arts Center. There, the band had a stage capable of holding the band, and a beautiful, two-tiered auditorium for the annual Christmas concert to raise funds for local causes during the holiday season.

With the size of the band remaining at new levels, the practice of holding our holiday concert in larger concert-level facilties will now be our practice. We are already in negotiations for a host for the 2025 event.

Proceeds from this year's concert held in Westbrook will benefit the Trauma Intervention Program of Greater Portland, and the Animal Rescue League of Greater Portland Pet Food Pantry. Those wishing to donate following the concert should contact the two entities for details on future contributions.

Details on the band's 2025 Christmas benefit concert will be anounced this fall.

The Maine POPS Concert Band is a 501(c)3 education charity.
