The Maine Pops Concert Band normally rehearses at the Scarborough High School band room every Wednesday evening from September to June during the school year from 7 to 9 p.m. As always, there will be adjustments to the rehearsal schedule as the local Scarborough schools conduct their own music and theater programs at the high school and middle school levels. The Maine Pops will take all steps necessary to coordinate alternate venues and inform the membership of rehearsal site changes in advance.
The Maine Pops Concert Band continues its recruitment of local musicians to join or rejoin the band. As of October 15, the band has over 100 musicians registered. No auditions are required, but the band is now concentrating on filling specific instrumental voids within sections.
